Lucas Oil Stabilizer is a 100% petroleum product formulated to eliminate dry starts and reduce friction, heat and wear in any type of engine. It allows motor oils a higher degree of lubricity which reduces oil consumption and operating temperatures. Use Lucas Oil Stabilizer in gear oil to stop leaks, reduce operating temperatures and increase the life of the gear oil. Since it is pure petroleum, it can safely blend with all other automotive lubricants, even synthetics, ATF and mineral oil. It keeps old engines alive and new engines new.

Drivers Make Diesel Fuel from Used Cooking Oil

Posted in Diesel Oil on February 6th, 2010 by diesel engine – Be the first to comment

This year, the price of oil has soared, in recent weeks reaching a new high of 5 a barrel. This has sparked protests in many countries, including Britain, where truck drivers recently blocked roads in several cities to protest the price of fuel. For some, the high cost of fuel has prompted more creativity. A growing number of motorists are making their own bio-diesel with recycled cooking oil. It’s only cheaper, but greener too. Catherine Drew visited a course near Oxford, England to see how it is done.

1982 Isuzu I-mark runs on Veggie oil mix!

Posted in Diesel Oil on February 2nd, 2010 by diesel engine – 25 Comments

I bought this car really cheap back when gas went sky high just to play with and see what I could do with WVO. I didn’t think that it would work well enough for me to scrap my electric car project and become my main transportation, but it did! The method I use is so much simpler than a two-tank with heater system or a Bio-diesel refinery, and works just fine. The fuel cost is less than per gallon. No noticeable performance loss, other than really cold weather starting. (40 deg F)

Posted in Diesel Oil on February 1st, 2010 by diesel engine – 16 Comments

The fun is heating up. This clip highlights the performance by one of Australia’s famous rock bands called Midnight Oil. Here, Peter Garrett sang one of the band’s signature songs called “Beds Are Burning.” This song came from their SIXTH album called “Dust and Diesel” from 1987. Midnight Oil’s performance run lasted from 1971 to 2002. However, Peter Garrett is now a cabinet Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts for the current Kevin Rudd Labor majority government in Canberra. Note: You got to love the shirts Peter and the guys were wearing at the time.
