What are the bits bolted into the cylinder head of my 1800 endura diesel engine above the glow plugs?

I am looking to replace the glow plugs on my 1800 endura diesel. I have seen exactly what they are and how to do it, I was curious what the individual items are that are bolted into cylinder head above the glow plugs? They look like spark plugs but, according to readings on here there are no spark plugs at all. Are they injectors? Also getting a couple of lumps overun as it were when turning off the engine!! Any help much appreciated.
